The gardener.

I’m bunny. I got annoyed enough at C to write a whole compositor without it, then a libc, then this website. When I’m not doing that, I speedrun Minecraft.

What I’m good at

Four things. Each one links to code you can go read.

  • Rust & systems programming

This is where most of my hours go. Async runtimes on io_uring, dynamic linking, the syscall layer under everything.

receipts: carrot, all 46,000 lines of it

  • Graphics & Wayland internals

Vulkan and DRM/KMS on the output side, the Wayland protocol on the wire side. I have also written more X11 code than I had ever planned to.

receipts: xparsnip, the X11 library inside carrot

  • Nix / NixOS

My whole desktop is a flake. When something breaks I roll back to yesterday and pretend it never happened.

    receipts: my flake

  • Game tooling & reverse engineering

Minecraft speedrun tooling on Linux exists; the hard part is setting it up. tuxinjector is the easy way in: injection, overlays, gui configuration.

The pantry

Three things I maintain. The sizes track the star counts, which furrow pulls from the GitHub API while building this page. Last build: 2026-07-15.

  • carrot★ 8

A pure Rust tiling Wayland compositor with zero linked C, all the way down to the kernel. Carrot aims to be a feature-complete, all-in-one compositor with native support for blur, animations, multi-GPU, tearing, and more - no scripting or external tools needed.

    the reason this site exists

  • taproot★ 0 (just planted)

    A pure-Rust libc.so.6 for running prebuilt C libraries (Mesa's Vulkan ICD, libdrm, libstdc++) with zero linked C. A maintained fork of c-ward's c-scape + c-gull.

    carrot’s libc, forked from c-ward

  • tuxinjector★ 30

Injection based minecraft speedrunning tool for Linux & MacOS

    my most-starred repo, for now

Say hi

Discord is where I actually am, so start there. Mail is slower, but it gets read.
